JOB TITLE: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the Construction delivery of the project.
2. Responsible for the safe delivery of the project.
3. Ensure that competent personnel are employed both onshore and offshore and that progress and productivity are maintained at an acceptable level in line with the project schedule.
4. Managing the construction team to ensure delivery is of high quality, efficient and safe; within set budgets and agreed timescales.
5. Leading all construction related activity and providing strategic and professional support to the Project Manager and Operations Director.
6. Manage the engagement and performance of site sub-contractors.
7. Managing construction related bids and proposals.
8. Engaging with existing and new customers to develop the business and assist with contract governance and performance.
9. Ensuring onshore and offshore competency is monitored and maintained.
10. Managing resourcing levels across contracts and projects.
11. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation.
12. Leading construction delivery on specific projects as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Candidates should hold a professional qualification in a relevant discipline and have extensive experience with site construction within the UK and overseas. Experience of operating under CDM regulations and management of multiple sub-contractors.
2. Construction execution and standards.
3. Multi-discipline capability covering white and black trades.
4. Leadership skills.
5. Broad onshore & offshore execution experience.
6. Experience in an onshore management position.
7. Experience of managing the construction of onshore HV substations.
8. Significant experience in the production and support of proposals.
9. Construction execution and systems experience.
10. Incident investigation experience.
