About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join Riverside House as a Supervisor, responsible for upholding and promoting the highest standards of care. In this role, you will embrace the ethos of maximising independence, participation, and dignity for residents.
As a Supervisor, you will lead and manage the performance of the staff team, setting and encouraging high standards, while monitoring performance and addressing any practices or attitudes that fall below expectations. Your leadership will foster a positive environment in which residents can thrive. You will also act as the key worker for service users, coordinating relevant services and acting as a primary contact for relatives, carers, and external agencies.
In addition, you will be responsible for administering treatments and prescribed medication in compliance with Westmorland and Furness Council's policies and procedures, safeguarding the security and well-being of residents in line with the Safeguarding Policy and Social Care Council Code of Practice. You will ensure that all staff understand safeguarding principles and any necessary actions.

Promoting and demonstrating best practices is essential in this role, as is ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and other regulatory requirements. You will also be accountable for maintaining your own health and safety, as well as the safety of others, ensuring that all activities within the home are conducted safely and in accordance with infection control principles and the Health and Safety regulations set by Westmorland and Furness Council.
