Cleaning Co-ordinator - Birmingham An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Birmingham Cleaning Team as a Cleaning Co-ordinator. Our cleaners play a vital role in always keeping the CrossCountry fleet clean and presentable. Reporting to the Onboard Cleaning Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the completion of all Onboard cleaning responsibilities. The Cleaning Co-ordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, co-ordinating cleaning resource, efficiently rostering staff, working with the payroll team to process pay and conducting regular spot checks and audits, carrying out all cleaning duties. Working on board our trains will make you a visible member of staff, therefore our customers will ask you questions about train times, connections in fact, all manner of information; so you’ll need to have a helpful, approachable manner and a genuine desire to want to help. You must have the ability to work to tight deadlines with a proven track record of working in a high pressure environment. A background in team leadership or co-ordination of staff is essential for this role. A background in cleaning would be desirable but not essential. Shifts vary over 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Purpose of Job & Principal Accountabilities To ensure in line with specification the interior of the train is cleaned to a high standard To dispose of rubbish in appropriate areas Litter picking throughout the train Ensure consistent cleanliness of toilets. Cleaning of any spillages, including bodily fluids etc To adhere to all health and safety procedures To deal with customers enquiries to a high level of professionalism Any other duties as required by the Customer Service Manager. Co-ordinate cleaning resource for Office and Onboard, utilising agency staff where necessary Check and log agency staff hours To roster staff as efficiently as possible in line with latest diagrams Work with the payroll team to process pay correctly To conduct regular spot checks and audit trains to ensure expected standards are maintained Print off rosters daily for each depot and check hours worked match for payroll Check rostered shifts match diagrams Allocation of book on and book off time Manage cleaning resource queries To apply, please submit your CV by the close date of Friday 14th March 2025.
