Job Description

* Salary will be dependent on experience - Level 8 - 13 Trades as per the Qantas Airways Limited (AWU AMWU CEPU) Enterprise Agreement 11.
As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you’ll have the chance to elevate your career, with sponsorship available for you and your immediate family, along with relocation assistance to ensure a smooth transition.
As a Qantas Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you’ll be responsible for maintaining aircraft to high standards, working alongside specialist teams in a safety-focused, quality-driven environment. We’re looking for qualified AMEs (Mechanical, Avionic & Structures) or those with allied trade qualifications who are seeking sponsorship and relocation assistance to Australia.
Responsibilities
You will be working in various workshops including:
* Wheel and Brakes: Overhaul and repair wheels and brakes for Qantas Group and customer airlines.
* Engine Shop: Remove and install quick engine change and line replaceable components, managing storage of engine assets.
* Oxygen & Evacuation Systems: Repair, overhaul and maintain aircraft evacuation equipment including slides and gas generators.
* Avionics: Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain avionics components of our aircraft fleet.
Eligible Criteria
* Have an aircraft maintenance technician trade qualification or equivalent, preferably under EASA or CASA regulations.
* Relevant Aircraft Maintenance trade experience minimum 6 years (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics).
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Maintenance procedures.
* Commitment to all safe working practices and service standards.
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
* Highly developed attention to detail.
* Meet all Visa requirements including English Language Proficiency.
