Are you empathetic, motivated, and solution-focused? Would you like to make a positive impact on a young person's life?
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the successful visiting support team working in Christchurch, supporting young people aged 18 - 21.
The 37.5-hour post is Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
This exciting and varied role will involve:
1. Supporting young people with housing-related support to develop skills for independent living and maintaining their own tenancy.
2. Opportunities to extend relationships with external agencies to provide the relevant support to meet the needs and aspirations of the young person.
3. Supporting young people to develop goals and plans in education, training, and employment, and move-on.
4. Creation and delivery of innovative, fun activities in which life learning is paramount to the personal development of the customer.
You will have excellent communication and engagement skills that enable young people to become confident, resilient, and personally empowered on their journey to independence. You will need to be proactive in your role, with the ability to work independently.
The successful applicant will have a full scheme induction and be supported within a service that strives to achieve positive outcomes for clients on a daily basis. Experience of working with young people with multiple needs would be an advantage but not essential.
