As a Service Support Assistant, you would be the first point of contact for our Mobility Aids Service, providing operational and administrative assistance to the team. Our service offers loans of wheelchairs as well as training on how to use them properly. We give people the competence to continue living independently. We can also ease people's transition to living at home again following a hospital stay.
What does a day in the life of a Service Support Assistant involve?
1. Providing clerical and operational support, including dealing with face-to-face queries and calls, processing invoices, and working across different IT systems.
2. Working alongside volunteers and staff, providing outstanding customer service when interacting with service users in person, on the phone, and online.
3. Ensuring that delivery services, stock control, and administrative systems meet the needs of the service and maintain smooth operations.
What does it take to be a successful Service Support Assistant?
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, comfortable handling financial transactions.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence in learning new software and databases, such as online stock management systems.
* Confidence in dealing with queries from customers, hospitals, and referring agencies professionally and positively.
* Great organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks, and manage workload in a busy environment.
