Practice Learning Educator (NHS AfC: Band 6) - Nursing/Midwifery - Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
An opportunity has arisen for individuals to work closely with the wider Education Teams and the divisions, to use their knowledge, skills and expertise to contribute to the practice learning environment by providing point of care support, education, training and guidance for pre-registration healthcare professional learners, newly registered staff during preceptorship and those clinical staff acting as a supervisor or assessor.
As a practice supervisor and assessor, you will have experience of supervising and assessing learners in the practice learning environment and have the skills and knowledge to motivate and encourage learners in the practice learning environment to achieve their goals and learning outcomes. You should be passionate about practice education and a confident communicator with well-developed inter-personal skills and an ability to work within the multi-professional team.
The purpose of the role is to:
* Maximise the number of learners who can be supported within clinical placement learning environments.
* Enhance and develop the learners experience of the practice learning environment in conjunction with the rest of the multidisciplinary CPL team.
* Support and develop the number of practice assessors and practice supervisors within the practice learning environment to meet the learners educational and learning needs.
* Support practice learning areas to meet and maintain professional body standards for support and assessment of practice learning.
* Provide leadership through supporting, enabling, and empowering the Learning Environment Managers (LEMs), preceptors, supervisors, and assessors in their roles.
* Facilitate inter-professional learning in practice at point of care.
* Support learners and staff to enable learners to meet assessment requirements stated by the NMC and our HEI partners for student progression.
