Department: Retail Sales Location: Head Office, London Description We are looking for a National Account Executive to join our growing Sales team. Within this role you will drive profitable growth within key national accounts by supporting the National Account Manager in maximising market share, strengthening brand relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong analytical mind and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Sales & Performance: Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the National Account Manager. Conduct in-depth sales data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Prepare accurate and insightful weekly sales reports and forecasts, including competitor analysis. Manage inventory levels and assortment to optimise stock availability, minimise out-of-stocks, and maximise sales potential. Proactively identify and resolve any potential stock or supply chain issues. Planning & Execution: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain, Retail Field Team) to develop and execute successful annual plans, new product launches, marketing campaigns, and in-store promotions. Facilitate strategy meetings, ensuring clear communication, timely decision-making, and effective execution of agreed-upon plans. Coordinate with supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products and maintain optimal stock levels. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to support the National Account Manager and the wider business. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key decision-makers within the account. Proactively address customer queries and resolve issues effectively and efficiently. Partner with the national account to develop and execute joint business plans, including new product launches, promotional activities and key marketing moments. Foster and maintain strong internal cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient project delivery. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly sales reports, including detailed analysis of sell-in, sell-out, and stock holding data. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management on progress and areas of success. Utilise data and insights to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to optimise sales performance. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Proven experience in a sales support, buying, merchandising or account management role, ideally within the FMCG sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Highly motivated and results-oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience working with Boots highly desirable. A team player with a collaborative and supportive approach. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
