Senior Quality Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to provide quality guidance to our business, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. You will support the business and customers in all quality aspects, both current and new production, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure all behaviors and activities align with company health, safety, and environment policies and procedures.
* Customer Complaint Resolution: Responsible for complaint resolution, including customer/internal communication, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
* Audit: Conduct internal audits to required standards, host external audits, complete non-conformance reports, and implement corrective actions.
* Workshop Support: Lead MRB activity, drawing/standard interpretation, and disposition, maintenance/update of route cards and supporting documentation.
* Supplier Quality: Support supplier audit and surveillance, raise complaints, communicate with suppliers, update Approved Supplier List, and select suppliers.
* NPI: Responsible for quality aspects of New Product Introduction, using tools like PPAP, FMEA, APQP, producing First Article Inspection Reports, communicating with customers, resolving issues, creating route cards, and supporting documentation.
* Process Improvement: Analyze data, select improvement activities, lead application of improvement toolset (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, RCA), conduct data analysis, and support selection of improvement activities.
* QMS: Support management and update of the company Quality Management System, ensuring all business activities align with the QMS.
* Training: Provide training to colleagues and customers when required.
* Business Systems: Support implementation, development, and use of company systems (e.g., CC database, Factory Master).
* People Management: Train, motivate, and support the team, leading by example and stepping up to leading roles.

* Continuous Improvement mindset with effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Degree level qualification in an engineering/quality discipline or relevant experience.
* Experience within defense/aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
