Our Building Services teams have worked on a range of amazing projects, from data centres for large tech companies to headquarters of companies such as Deutsche Bank and Diageo. As a graduate in the team, you could play a key part in our next big project. The Role You'll Play: In this Graduate Mechanical Engineer role, youâll join a team who specialise in the design of some of the most exciting construction projects in the UK and worldwide.
Working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice, youâll provide specialist consultancy input on projects across a wide range of sectors including education, healthcare, workplace, retail and critical systems (data centres).
Under the guidance of our team of experienced engineers, weâll equip you to undertake detailed electrical building services engineering design and analysis, defining and translating clientsâ needs into designs for buildings, facilities and services (electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, security systems etc) - all with sustainability at the forefront of the design.
Youâll have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and with accredited professional development programmes from CIBSE and IET, youâll be fully supported towards achieving chartership. The Skills You'll Bring: On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve an MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
Have a passion about innovative and sustainable mechanical engineering for the built environment.
Possessing a desire for personal and professional development, youâll have the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Digital engineering is a big focus at Cundall, so ideally, youâll have an understanding of Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB).
You are organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities, striving to meet deadlines.
Collaborative in nature, youâll be able to empathise with your clientsâ needs and utilise excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders. Youâre used to using your initiative to overcome challenges and have a positive, can-do attitude.
