Lecturer – Inclusive Learning (Hastings)
Full Time & Part Time Considered.
Up to £39,808 Per Year
A great opportunity for a lecturer has arisen in our Inclusive Learning Team in Hastings. We support and enable young people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities as well as barriers to learning to successfully achieve their qualifications, progress onto a programme which inspires them and become a young adult with a clear vision about their future.
We have high expectations for all of our learners and are determined that they will exceed their aspirations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and student focused professional to join our dynamic Inclusive Learning Team.
The post involves working with a person-centred multi-disciplinary approach to support learners who have social emotional and mental health support needs and/or learning difficulties, disabilities and Autism within our Inclusive Learning provision.
You will be passionate about inclusion and be able to deliver a range of subjects which could include Maths and English as well as employability skills, personal and social development and vocational pathways.
You will liaise and collaborate with curriculum staff to devise a curriculum which enriches the learning experience and raises the aspirations of the learners and you will support the continual development of the area by contributing to departmental planning and team meetings.
You will be an excellent communicator and have strong organisational skills as well as having experience of working with young people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities as well as behaviour which could be described as challenging. You will pro-actively support young people who may need guidance and support with their behaviour in order to prepare them for progression onto mainstream courses.
You should have a relevant degree (or equivalent), a teaching qualification, post-qualification experience and a student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
