Are you an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon seeking a new challenge? Do you want to work in an environment that prioritises well-being and mental health? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Our client is a progressive, forward-thinking veterinary group known for its outstanding reputation, supported by a dedicated team of 60 Vets, Nurses, Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), Receptionists, and support staff. They operate across three sites, including a main hospital and two practices serving as preventative clinics.
They are looking for a skilled Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team in a new role. In this position, you'll have line management responsibilities for the veterinary team, so leadership experience is essential. Your role will be key in enhancing clinical outcomes and improving clinical governance through evidence-based medicine. The ideal candidate will have strong surgical skills, be comfortable with consultations, and be able to guide the team in managing complex cases.
You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and the senior leadership team to ensure the highest standards of care for clients and their pets. The team of dedicated nurses, who regularly complete Schedule 3 procedures and nurse consults, will support you in this mission.
The hospital setting is fully equipped with modern facilities, including a new X-ray machine, a Laparoscopy kit, two theatres, and a dedicated dental and X-ray suite. They are proud to have renewed their silver cat-friendly award for another year, reflecting their commitment to excellence.
Located in a beautiful area with plenty of outdoor activities available (many team members are enthusiastic horse-riders), the practice also benefits from city conveniences, with a major shopping centre nearby and excellent transport links into London.
This practice is more than just a workplace; it's a community where diversity is celebrated, and everyone is encouraged to be their authentic selves. With a no-blame culture and a genuine focus on well-being, the team is friendly, supportive, and truly values each member's contributions. If you're looking to join a practice that values team spirit and fosters a well-being-focused environment, we would love to hear from you.
