Thriving SEMH School located in the London Borough of Bromley is recruiting a dedicated and passionate Monday to Friday Unqualified English Teacher / English HLTA. This contract role is to start immediately.,
* Experience teaching in either a HLTA or Unqualified Teacher (behaviour difficulties)
* Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students in KS3 to GCSE.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEMH and ASD.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive behaviour support strategies.
* Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and reports to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support students' educational and emotional needs.
* In date DBS on the update service OR able to pay for a new one ASAP.
* You reside in commutable distance to the London Borough of Bromley.
The successful Unqualified English HLTA / English Teacher will have experience in teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) to GCSE level English and possess skills in managing small groups, with a strong understanding of SEMH, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and challenging behaviour. You will have excellent experience planning, delivering and marking English lessons.
