About the Role : This role is perfect for creative individuals who want to bring the magic of drama and performing arts to the classroom. You will have the opportunity to design engaging lessons, foster students’ confidence, and showcase their talents through performances and productions. Responsibilities of the Drama/Performing Arts Teacher : Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that inspire creativity and engagement in Key Stages 3 and 4. Develop students' acting, performance, and collaborative skills. Organise and direct school productions, showcases, and drama workshops. Encourage students to explore various aspects of performing arts, including scriptwriting, stage management, and improvisation. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them excel. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that nurtures creativity and self-expression. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the performing arts curriculum and extracurricular offerings. Requirements of the Drama/Performing Arts Teacher : Experience teaching drama or performing arts, with the ability to engage and inspire students. Relevant qualifications or extensive professional experience in performing arts. A creative and energetic approach to teaching. Strong communication and organisational skills. Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, including school productions. PGCE or QTS is preferred but not essential if you have substantial teaching experience. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
