A large plc based near Fareham is recruiting a Financial Accountant to support a key accounting area focusing on best practice, process improvement and financial controls. The company offers hybrid working of 2 days office / 3 days home working and is easily accessible by road and public transport.
The main responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include:
1. Providing technical advice and support to the business.
2. Working with the business both in the UK and abroad ensuring compliance with statutory, company and audit requirements.
3. Aiding in the development of accounting policies and controls.
4. Identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations.
5. Collaborating across finance and the business on best practice initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant role is likely to:
6. Be a late stage studier or a newly / recently qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
7. Possess good financial / statutory accounting knowledge.
8. Be an excellent communicator who enjoys working collaboratively.
