We are looking for a seasoned Senior Director, who can shape and influence the strategic decisions we make, as well as someone experienced in winning, shaping and leading consulting engagements across the energy sector, delivering results by exceptional leadership.
As part of our Senior Leadership Team, we are looking for an exceptional individual with extensive experience of operating in a senior consulting position, with significant experience of the utilities industry. Someone who can add strategic value to our business in terms of impact with clients and thought leadership on strategic business decisions. We need someone who also understands the utility industry, including the trends, risks, challenges and future opportunities.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will use excellent stakeholder management, influencing and leadership skills to quickly establish yourself as wise counsel within our own business as well as building a strong client portfolio.
We want to hear from people who have established themselves as a ‘go to’ person with clients who are seeking support, as such you will be highly motivated and skilled in winning and delivering new business. You will have developed extensive experience at influencing and managing stakeholders at C suite level and the drive, motivation and resilience required to deliver exceptional results.
You will also be an inspirational leader who will lead from the front and deliver results through our consulting teams by:
* Establishing yourself as a key member of our senior Leadership Team, responsible for strategic decision making including future business strategies, people, technology or financial decisions.
* Acting as the trusted adviser, wise counsel or ‘go to’ person with senior / C suite clients, identifying, creating and winning new business through new and existing clients.
* Motivated and driven to continue to build on our brand reputation and engage with clients through networking, industry conferences, social media, and relationship building.
* Acting as a true thought leader, building credibility by adding exceptional client value with input based on solid industry knowledge, research, analysis, economic trends and understanding of the clients’ business.
* Responsible for financial planning and budgetary decisions affecting BFY in line with chosen future business strategy.
* As a senior member of our Leadership Team collectively responsible for all decisions affecting our people, chosen markets, future business and business processes.
* Providing exceptional leadership to our consulting Teams, nurturing talent, maximising potential and managing performance to lead and deliver high quality client projects.
* Scoping, shaping, leading and delivering projects, being resourceful and pragmatic to always find ways to deliver despite resource or operational challenges.
Your Skills And Experience
* An experienced leader who can add value to strategic company decisions and positively contribute to the running of our business, ranging from future business strategies to people, financial and risk management.
* Client Development is a key part of this role. You will be able to demonstrate your track record of success in partnering with clients and developing their accounts to become a trusted partner.
* Exceptional Consultancy skills developed through experience of operating at a senior level within a consultancy firm.
* We are less interested in qualifications – a degree is not a prerequisite for the role, but you will need to understand the tools of client development, change management, and project delivery.
* Exceptional leadership skills to motivate consulting teams to deliver and sustain results, maximising talent and performance within the teams.
* Stays abreast of emerging technology and how to leverage to add client value.
* Deep experience, knowledge and relationships in the Energy sector.
* Well connected with a strong existing network at a senior level.
