Please note, this role is based out of our Holborn Store Support Centre & Home, colleagues go into the office 2 days per week on average. Sitting within a large Commercial Finance function, this role is a key member of the Marketing Finance team. You will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Division to deliver their strategic and financial plans. You will be the key Finance Business Partner and finance expert, provide support and challenge whilst working cross-functionally with business Stakeholders to deliver well-constructed business cases and post-investment reviews - always grounded in great commercial principles. You will be a key contributor of defining financial performance indicators and responsible for tracking and delivery of financial benefits. You'll also be responsible for ensuring your business areas' forecasts, risks and opportunities are robust and well managed. More about the role Able to create an environment of support and challenge - being comfortable to question data-led decision making and rationale, improving robustness and commerciality Interpret management reporting to provide insight, analysis, and commentary to stakeholders Ensure close alignment between multiple stakeholders by delivering clear and robust analysis in a timely manner in line with initiatives and plans across the business Attend regular department meetings ensuring Finance has a 'voice' and a 'seat at the table' where P&L impact meets department initiatives Proactively build an external perspective and use outputs to engage and influence the business Complete ad hoc / bespoke analysis and reporting for the business area as required to drive improvements Work with our data science and Marketing Analytics team as required to complete analysis to resolve business problems Supporting the delivery of key Finance deliverables such as Budget, Corporate Plan, Year-End etc. Support the business to manage capital investment budgets (if relevant) Foster a culture of finance fluency and control with your business partners Line management of a Finance Analyst Success in this role will mean being able to deliver timely, robust and accurate analysis; translating data into valuable business insight, communicating all relevant financial and non-financial information when needed More about you Professionally Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) Previous Business Partnering experience of a Commercial Division at Finance Manager level Data led and comfortable scoping and completing complex analysis - both proactively and as part of a broader commercial deliverable as required Previous experience of partnering a team that has both costs and sales implications desirable Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance A proven track record of financial control, but also the ability to develop and maintain such an environment Effective communicator, influencer and challenger with senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen Strong Excel and numerical skills, with an aptitude for turning data into analysis and insight Experience of maintaining strong financial controls High levels of pace, energy and resilience A self-starter, and a strong team player that can work independently, spotting the areas to focus on and assisting in the decision-making process Must have a strong eye for detail and a passion for accuracy LI-CE1 We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer, so you'll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work.
