About This Role
This is an exciting new opportunity to be part of a new project within our Wraparound Service in the UK. As Psychological Therapist, key aspects of your role will be:
1. Facilitation of Reflective Practice for residential staff to help support therapeutically informed practice, staff resilience and emotional wellbeing.
2. Direct support to Looked After Children and Care Leavers to improve their emotional health and well-being, and to provide any additional support identified as needed by statutory services to those with mental health needs.
3. Working with children, residential carers and social workers where care arrangements are at risk of breaking down.
4. Consultative support and training to foster carers and residential staff where there are children in placement who have complex needs.
5. Support the development of the UK Therapeutic Service to help meet the needs of staff and young people across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have:
6. Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Therapy)
7. A minimum of three years working directly with children, young people and families
8. Experience of dealing with crisis situations and working with emergency services
9. A minimum of one years’ experience of delivering therapeutic interventions
10. Experience of working in a multi-agency setting
11. Knowledge of UK Legislative framework
12. Good interpersonal and communication skills
13. Knowledge/Experience of Care Planning and Care Management
14. Ability to manage caseload and to work on own initiative
15. Responsive to deadlines
16. Excellent IT, report writing and presentation skills
17. Ability and willingness to work outside of normal office hours as required
