Job Description:
The Role
As a Registered Nurse managing and delivering care to a defined caseload of clients with Community Mental Health Team/Older Adult Services, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of quality client care while working in partnership with other disciplines and agencies. The charge nurse has delegated responsibility for the appraisal, management, and clinical supervision of Registered Nurses, junior practitioners, and clinical support workers in the provision of care and treatment within a defined clinical service, under the management and leadership of the team leader/senior charge nurse or practitioner.
What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration Mental Health
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
* Postgraduate expertise within specialty/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the specialty/area of practice
* Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures
* Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery
* Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in the area of specialty
* Excellent team-working/leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
* Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
* Crisis/Community posts – a full, valid UK/EU/EEA driver’s license
It would be great if you also have
* Evidence of professional development in the area of specialty
* Evidence of study at postgraduate level
* Demonstrable post-registration experience in a relevant/transferable field of practice
* Experience of working in a community mental health service
* Experience of providing supervision to mental health staff

This role will be based in Hamilton Older Adult Community Mental Health Team within Udston Hospital. The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
