In this Housing Team Leader opportunity in Chesterfield, you will join a charity helping young people, between the ages of 16-25, gain access to temporary accommodation as a result of being homeless. The role is to help manage a group of front line workers and deal with the day to day management as well as picking up a small caseload.
Key responsibilities
* Provide first line management and supervise a small team of staff to ensure that young people receive person centred support within our accommodation in accordance with people policies, statement of purpose and OFSTED standards.
* Identify, develop, implement and embed a co-production plan and activities in the development of the service delivery in accordance with Co Production Strategy to enhance the experience of young people within our services.
* Manage a small caseload of homeless young people living in temporary accommodation, assisting them with housing support and applying for benefits.
* Maintain health and safety procedures on site, ensuring all customers and staff are safe and free from harm.
* Deal with complaints.
* Attend meetings regarding budgets, rents, and implementing new housing legislation.
Skills & experience
* Proven track record of working as a Housing Team Leader.
* Flexible to work over days, evenings, and weekends during the week.
* Holds an enhanced DBS child and adult clearance - issued in the last 12 months or on the update service.
* Available to work on a temporary contract for 6-8 weeks.
