Responsibilities
* Assist the Technical Sales Manager in responding to customer inquiries, identify opportunities to deliver the right solution, and build long-term relationships with clients.
* Produce technical drawings and other materials to support current customers and new clients.
* Attend customer visits to understand customer challenges and identify upselling opportunities.
* Work with the Design Engineering team on complex customer challenges, collect and report on customer feedback, and collaborate with internal teams to manage orders.
* Keep up-to-date with product developments and technological advancements, and provide excellent post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
New Business Development
* Develop strategies to re-engage dormant accounts with the Technical Sales Manager, generate leads through various channels, and input into the strategy to win new accounts and grow existing ones.
* Conduct product demonstrations and support technical discussions with potential clients, conduct market research, and support the marketing team in developing campaigns to attract new business.
Sales Administration
* Use CRM and ERP software to manage customer information, track interactions, and ensure timely follow-ups.
* Help coordinate sales meetings, product demonstrations, and customer visits, prepare reports on sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends.
Requirements
* A technical background, preferably an engineering degree or equivalent experience.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to present complex technical information, and dynamic self-starter mentality.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once, resilience when priorities change, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Benefits
* Permanent contract, remuneration £25,000 - £29,000 + discretionary bonus, and excellent benefits.
