An exciting opportunity has arisen to become the Base Adviser for Autism, enabling the ongoing development of the countywide family of Autism Bases, as part of an integrated system of support.
In this role, you will ensure that provision and practice is system leading in meeting the needs of children and young people accessing the support, enabling them to successfully build independence and strategies to participate in lessons, whole school life and flourish in mainstream schools.
This leadership role requires expert knowledge, the ability to inspire staff and work collaboratively across organisational boundaries, while balancing time and resources appropriately across the portfolio of responsibilities.
You will be expected to demonstrate consistently high standards of principled and professional conduct. You will be an expert in building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and confident in decision-making and constructively challenging when necessary to support a positive change.
You will report to the Head of SEND & AP Sufficiency and Delivery, as part of the Sufficiency, Planning and Education Strategy Directorate within Children’s Services.
