Job summary The post holder will ensure the provision of a high standard of family-centred evidence-based nursing and medical care using advanced clinical skills from pre-admission to discharge of babies on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Transitional Care Unit (TC), using patient assessment skills and making and delivering plans for care and treatment on a daily basis. Ensure support of the midwifery team to deliver care to babies across the inpatient maternity services where assessment and care planning may be required. This post sits within the junior doctor tier of the medical roster. Ensure the NICU Multi-disciplinary Team are involved in the systems that develop local and network policies, guidelines, action plans and benchmarks; developing the Neonatal Service within the Neonatal Network and Women and Children's Division.
