Summary of the Role: The Packing and Dispatch Supervisor will support the Dispatch Manager by overseeing the management of inventory, assembly of kits, and dispatch of the kits to service users. The post holder will ensure work is completed with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company and service requirements. This role involves organising and supporting the packing and dispatch teams, maintaining inventory records, coordinating with the procurement manager and ensuring deliveries are ready for the daily pick-up deadline Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the packing and dispatch team. Ensure all orders are packed accurately and efficiently, meeting quality standards. Oversee and contribute to dispatch and packing operations to ensure on-time delivery of kits to service users. Utilise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for inventory tracking, production/assembly management and dispatch output tracking. Monitor stock levels and work closely with the packing team and procurement manager to ensure a seamless supply chain. Maintain traceability of kits, and components, ensuring correct stock rotation is maintained. Provide troubleshooting for order printing (jams, toner changes, arranging engineers). Prioritising key services in line with KPIs. Recognise and rectify outstanding orders. Implement and maintain best practices for packing and dispatch to optimise workflow. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and relevant legislation. Train and supervise warehouse staff to improve productivity and performance. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to packing and dispatch promptly and resolve any discrepancies in inventory data promptly to maintain system integrity. Provide accurate, up-to-date inventory records and documentation to support internal and external audit processes. Required Skills and Competencies: Proven experience in a packing, dispatch, or warehouse supervisory role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar digital inventory management systems. Knowledge of warehouse operations, dispatch procedures, and logistics best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Understanding of health & safety and compliance regulations related to warehouse operations and patient GPDR. Qualifications and Experience: Education Grade C (4) or above in Maths and English Advantageous to have computer/technology-based qualifications Experience Desirable experience for this role includes: Line management or supervisory experience Fast paced assembly (including assembly lines, manufacturing or fast-food) Demonstable experience using a computer-based inventory management system. (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar). Warehouse and stock management experience. Working with an electric stacker, pallet trucks etc. Work Environment: Fast-paced assembly and warehouse setting. Requires standing, bending, and repetitive motions for long periods.
