An opportunity has arisen to appoint a fully qualified (CCAB/CIMA) experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Finance Business Partner. Working autonomously under the general direction of the Director of Finance, the post holder will work as a member of the Executive Leadership and Senior Operational Management Teams across the organisation to develop strategic and financial plans, produce routine and adhoc in-year and year-end outturn forecast financial and performance reports, develop efficiency and savings projects, and in the production and approval of service change business cases.
The Finance Directorate’s Business Partner service includes direct line management of members of the Financial Management Team. Together with the team, the post holder will be required to ensure Business Units implement and remain compliant with robust financial governance processes, influence financial decision-making to deliver best value in the use of resources, and balance the requirement to support service improvement and modernisation whilst ensuring due process in the delivery of efficiency priorities and other financial targets.
The Finance department is working on a hybrid model with office-based work at Newstead Melrose and at the main Acute Hospital, Borders General Hospital, also in Melrose.
