This Newark based business is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their growing team. As the Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be responsible for efficiently processing and reconciling supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and meeting specified deadlines. As the Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies and assist with general office duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately entering supplier invoices into the company’s accounting system.
* Matching invoices to services provided and resolving any discrepancies.
* Communicating with suppliers and internal teams to address any invoice queries.
* Creating and distributing monthly supplier query spreadsheets.
* Processing supplier credit notes.
* Providing general administrative support, including answering calls, filing, scanning, and sorting mail.
* Assisting the Purchase Ledger Supervisor as needed.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a data or accounts-related role is essential.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
* Highly numerate with good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, is required.
