We have a great opportunity to join the team at Nisbets for a Business Analyst with a background of working with Supply Chain. This is a Hybrid role and will consist of at least 3 days in our Avonmouth Office and 2 days working from home (after a period of training). The Supply Chain Business Analyst gathers, interprets, and analyses data to provide actionable insights that drive process improvements and optimise supply chain project delivery. In this role the perfect candidate will work closely with various business functions—such as operations, IT, and warehouse management—to investigate, understand, and document supply chain requirements. The analyst will produce clear, detailed definitions of these requirements to guide the development and enhancement of supply chain solutions in relation to supply chain projects. In this role collaboration across teams is essential to create specifications and acceptance criteria for deploying new systems or improving existing ones, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency. Key Accountabilities Collaborates with business owners and subject matter experts across supply chain functions—such as operations, stock, IT, and warehousing—to analyse stakeholder objectives and document business requirements that drive supply chain improvements, with a particular focus on solutions for projects involving Maginus WMS and warehouse operations. Provides constructive challenge to stakeholders, ensuring proposed solutions align with supply chain optimisation goals, balancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Maps As-Is and To-Be supply chain processes, including warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics flows, to develop detailed technical solution requirements for improved supply chain performance including automation. Defines acceptance tests based on supply chain business requirements, ensuring that developed solutions (e.g., WMS enhancements or process automation) meet stakeholder expectations and operational needs. Supports documents for testing scripts for systems and UAT testing, ensuring solutions meet agreed standards, and thoroughly documents test scripts for end-to-end supply chain functionality. Leads small projects end-to-end, including those involving system upgrades or supply chain process improvements, in accordance with Nisbet's Business Change governance and delivery framework, ensuring successful execution and alignment with broader supply chain objectives Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Technical Capabilities Business Analyst experience in supply chain across multiple sites, focusing on warehouse management, logistics, and inventory processes. Proven ability to lead stakeholder meetings, up to Director level, and provide constructive challenge. Strong planning, research, and analytical skills, with attention to detail in optimising warehouse operations (e.g., inventory control, order fulfillment). Proficient in process mapping for supply chain and warehouse workflows, including WMS/ERP integration. Skilled in translating complex concepts into clear, actionable steps for both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent communication skills, with experience in writing business requirements and technical specifications for supply chain systems. Able to work under pressure, independently and in teams, to support supply chain continuity. Certified or experienced in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, BCS Diploma), with knowledge of supply chain tools and systems. Eager to learn new supply chain technologies and methods, including WMS and warehouse automation.
