Role Overview: WCA Disability Assessor Conduct Work Capacity Assessments (WCA) to assess a claimant’s ability to work. Review medical evidence and engage with claimants to understand their limitations. Use clinical expertise to write fair, structured reports for the DWP. Example Tasks: Interview claimants to understand their health conditions and daily challenges. Review medical records and write comprehensive reports. Provide recommendations based on thorough assessments. Training Program: Successful candidates will complete a 5-week comprehensive training program covering (amongst other things): Assessment Techniques: Best practices for accurate evaluations. DWP Guidelines: Requirements and guidelines of the Department for Work and Pensions. Report Writing: Skills for detailed and objective reporting.
