Protocol Education is looking to recruit Behaviour Mentors with experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
Some children struggle with social and emotional needs that can manifest in difficulties controlling their behaviour. A Behaviour Mentor works with pupils to develop better norms of behaviour. Previous experience working with children is essential.
The ideal educator must be energetic, enthusiastic, and able to work using their own initiative. The role will involve working with children on a 1:1 or group basis across the primary age range. Over time, you will build up a supportive working relationship with pupils so that you can act as a mentor and role model, ultimately improving overall attainment.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
The Role:
* Assisting with identifying pupils in need of support
* Conducting one-to-one mentoring sessions with identified pupils
* Developing strategies for pupils to better manage their behaviour
* Drawing up action plans for learners
* Liaising with SENCos
* Keeping track of pupil progress and monitoring behaviour
* Organising lunchtime activities for pupils who display challenging behaviour during breaks
* Supporting liaisons with families

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
