SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our team in North West England, specifically in Lancashire, Preston. This is a temporary position with the expectation of working full-time hours in the Education and Training industry. Job Duties: Supporting students with special educational needs in their learning and development. Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans. Providing one-on-one support to students as required. Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals. Required Qualifications: A relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience. Knowledge and understanding of special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Education: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications. Experience: Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable. Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support SEN students. Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced educational environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Additional training in specific areas of SEN support. First Aid certification. Working Conditions: This role involves working full-time hours on a temporary basis, supporting students with special educational needs in a school setting.
