As we continue to grow, we are looking for and experience Press Break Setter/Operator to join our Building Drainage division at the Bedford site. About the role In this role you will operate and set the press break, producing stainless steel products to quality standards, achieving deadlines and meeting customer expectations. You will use various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials. You will work as part of a team achieving targets and looking for continuous improvements. About you To be successful in this role you ideally have (but not essential): Full proficiency use of operating and setting Press Brakes Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings Good level of numeracy and literacy and the ability to inspect work using vernier caliper, tapes and rules Strong communication and problem-solving skills Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Self-motivated, driven, and able to work unsupervised with the desire and determination to succeed, achieve manufacturing goals and company aspirations Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Demonstrate willingness to continuously develop yourself and the business needs Physical ability for manual handling (lifting and carrying goods) Any other Sheetmetal experience would be a bonus but not essential (Welding, CNC, Finishing Tools) We offer We offer a collaborative and inclusive work environment, extensive training, opportunities for career progression and a competitive benefits package, which includes: Competitive salaries Private Health Care 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays increasing to 28 days with service Personal pension schemes with high employer contributions Employee Assistance Programmes plus much more Full details of the job role are available in the role description attached.
