The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our distribution team at Dreams. As a Senior Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in serving our customers, ensuring their perfect bed is delivered without a hitch. This role requires a full UK driving licence.
Your standard working week will be 38.75 hrs (excluding breaks), however, you will be paid in accordance with total hours worked to allow for variations in daily routes. This includes working weekends with time off in the week.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Co-ordinate the workload of the Warehouse Operatives to achieve the required results
2. Providing on-the-job training and support of new starters
3. Ensure accurate receipt of both goods inwards from internal and external suppliers
4. Supervise a team of warehouse operatives in the safe offloading and loading vehicles, including heavy lifting of products including mattresses, bedframes, and sofa beds
5. Checking deliveries onto systems, and checking & completing delivery paperwork
6. Work to achieve daily targets
7. Organising and prioritising the workload
8. Assist with the smooth operation of the warehouse
9. Moving of company vehicles within the depot
