Responsibilities
1. Review designs, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily in Azure.
2. Collaborate with architecture on the implementation of cloud-native applications and services.
3. Automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
4. Work alongside cross-functional teams, including software and data engineering, and security, to ensure seamless cloud integration and performance optimisation.
5. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance of cloud services.
6. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Recommend and implement innovative solutions based on the latest technologies.
Qualifications
1. Strong experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer.
2. Proficiency in designing, building, and configuring Azure projects, including builds, migrations, and modernisations.
3. Solid understanding of Linux OS and workload deployment and management.
4. Experience working within a Scaled Agile framework.
5. Familiarity with automation tools like Bicep, PowerShell, YAML, and Python.
6. Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and alert tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Alerts).
7. Capability to mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
8. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
9. Commitment to staying current with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
