We are looking for a dedicated and analytical professional to join our Ground Operations Performance team. This team plays a crucial role in leveraging data and analytics to enhance ease and reliability across our airports, identifying trends and insights that drive meaningful improvements in our operations.
Reporting to the Head of Ground Ops Performance, you will take ownership of Ground Operations data reporting and analysis, ensuring the provision of accurate, timely insights that influence decision-making and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, cleansing and utilising relevant data, developing visualisations of and insights into the performance of our ramp and airport operations. You will provide detailed operational reporting and deep-dive diagnostics, ensuring stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.
The role will involve delivering analytics projects that improve business processes, maintaining departmental Tableau reports, and collaborating on the development of a data and analytics roadmap. You will act as a subject matter expert on departmental datasets and data products while ensuring best practices in data analytics are upheld.
What you need to do this role
You will have strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proven experience using data to drive business decisions in a commercial setting. You should have a track record of successfully leading and delivering data analytics projects, with at least three years of experience in data and analytics.
Proficiency in SQL and some experience of at least one scripting language, such as Python or R, is essential, along with experience using business intelligence and data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. A solid working knowledge of statistical techniques is required, as well as the ability to work with incomplete or poor-quality raw data.
The role demands a delivery-focused mindset, particularly in high-pressure environments, and strong communication skills to present complex findings clearly and effectively to different audiences.
You should excel at understanding stakeholder needs, making a strong business case, and driving data-led transformation. You must be confident in delivering credible analytical insights while working in a fast-paced and dynamic organisation. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek guidance is crucial, as is a structured approach to prioritisation and collaboration within the team and wider business. A strong analytical background, supported by a degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent commercial experience, is highly desirable.
