We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join Stannah’s Dedicated Homelifts Business based at Andover.
This job will involve managing and optimizing relationships with Stannah Homelifts’ key suppliers. Your responsibilities include ensuring that the quality, cost, and delivery timelines of our materials and parts consistently meet expectations.
You will work closely with suppliers to maintain a reliable supply chain. Proactively monitoring shop floor stock levels through our Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system to ensure parts are always available for production.
As the Senior Buyer you will work Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45 and Friday 08:00 to 13:00. This job is a permanent contract.

You will have proven ability to communicate with all levels of management. You will be confident to handle negotiation, providing financial analysis and managing and evaluating risk effectively
To be successful as the Senior Buyer, it is essential that you have previous experience in supplier management or procurement, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial background. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or a related field would be desirable.
Senior Buyer Responsibilities:
Purchase Order Management - Instigate process improvements to support production staff in achievement of production targets
Supplier Commercial Management - Draft, negotiate and implement contractual agreements with material and capital equipment suppliers.
Product Development - Support relevant new product build activities involving suppliers, taking full ownership of new product parts from order placement through to availability in the factory, for each build cycle
Cost Reduction - Deliver cost savings through skilled negotiation
Quality - Lead problem-solving initiatives with suppliers to determine root causes for product related problems
Continuous Improvement - Seek out new opportunities for improvement in product and processes
Senior Buyer Requirements:
Experience in supplier management or procurement, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of supplier performance metrics, quality standards, and cost management.
Proficiency in MRP systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a track record of improving supplier performance.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on proactive problem-solving.
