Infrastructure Sustainable Technology SME Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 Do you have a passion for sustainability, want to be part of a team that wants to make real impact, then this role might be for you A bit about the job: As a resourceful, passionate Technology Consultant, you will play a meaningful role in helping us define, measure, and achieve our balanced goals. You will collaborate with our global CIO team, providing mentorship on power consumption and infrastructure efficiency for all aspects related to our technology. Your insights will craft the future of our technology and ensure that sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Key Responsibilities: Calculate power consumption targets and develop strategies to meet them as well as ownership and improvement of existing tooling to calculate power usage Creation and Maintenance of support resources, including some code-based tools Provide experienced consultancy on sustainable practices for new projects and programmes as well as supporting a community of sustainability champions and provide ongoing training and support Support the review of architectural and design submissions to ensure sustainability is considered and included, in collaboration with other teams Advocate for Aviva's Net Zero position across the industry, keeping up to date with the newest technologies and trends Skills and experience we're looking for: Authoritative knowledge of technology hardware and infrastructure concepts (e.g., Cloud, Software as a Service, On-Premises), with good knowledge of coding in at least one toolset Strong data skills with the ability to interpret and align various data sources to targets Superb communication skills, capable of communicating sophisticated information to senior colleagues A proactive and collaborative approach, willing to challenge and support colleagues at all levels Demonstrable experience in reducing infrastructure consumption and costs What you'll get for this role: Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow - is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
