Design and Technology Technician (Resistant Materials) Start Date: February 2025 - Easter 2025 (at least) Location: Morpeth Protocol Education is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design and Technology Technician specializing in Resistant Materials to join a vibrant secondary school in Morpeth. This is a temporary role starting on the February until Easter 2025. As a DT Technician, your responsibilities will include providing technical support to the teaching staff, ensuring the smooth running of the department, and assisting students with practical tasks. You will be expected to help maintain and prepare equipment, manage materials, and assist with health and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities: Support the delivery of Resistant Materials lessons Set up, maintain, and repair equipment and tools Assist in the preparation and management of resources Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety standards Support students during practical lessons and activities Manage the stock of materials, ensuring resources are available when needed Essential Requirements: Previous experience as a DT Technician (Resistant Materials) or a similar role Strong practical skills and knowledge in resistant materials, including wood, metal, and plastics Familiarity with tools and machinery in a school setting Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (or willingness to apply for one) Why Work with Protocol Education?
