We are looking to recruit a HR Officer working for a well-established global company based out of the Stourbridge site
As the HR officer, you will be involved in a range of activities. These cover areas such as:
* Recruitment and retention
* Equality, diversity and inclusion
* Conditions of employment
* Data computation for payroll and follow up on payslips accuracy
* Disciplinary and grievance cases
* Employee welfare, support and engagement
* Learning and development
* Policies, procedures and working practices
* Negotiation with external work-related agencies.
Other main duties will be
* Have a clear understanding of the business objectives and be able to devise and implement policies that support them
* Write and develop job descriptions, person specifications and job adverts and manage recruitment process
* Plan and deliver training, including new staff inductions
* Manage monthly payroll with the input of an external payroll provider
* Undertake salary reviews and manage redundancy programmes if any
* Carry out strategy and planning activities and develop strategies to meet immediate and long-term staff requirements
* Develop and implement policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, and absence management
* Liaise with a range of managers involved in policy areas such as staff performance, organisational structure, and health and safety
* Negotiate with staff and their representatives (e.g. trade union officials) on issues relating to pay and conditions, contracts and redundancy
* Prepare staff handbooks, administer payroll and maintain employee records
* Interpret and advise on employment law
* Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures
* Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers
* Continuous improvement scheme, with trainings and involvement in HR related events to maintain
The right candidate must:
* Strong proven experience in Human Resources, ideally at a senior level
* Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
* Ability to keep up to date with changes and current of regulations
* Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude

* Negotiate salary – Paying between £45,000 to £55,000
* 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
