Staff Nurse – Surgical Ward Birmingham: The Harborne Hospital Full time: Monday – Sunday 37.5 hours per week Shift times: Flexible to work, long days, nights and weekends based on internal rotation. Permanent Contract: Salary: competitive (DOE) plus 9% shift allowance We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients team at the Harborne Hospital. The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has a deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse with exceptional skills and knowledge in General surgery to assist in the provision of outstanding patient care within HCA The ward is a 12 bedded multi-speciality surgical ward, including GI, Gynae, orthopaedics, breast, spinal, liver, etc. As the Staff Nurse, working within our surgical unit, you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care whilst working within a multidisciplinary team, supervising and directing junior staff and also temporary staff. You’ll demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions and contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedures and research-based care and other practice development initiatives.
