We're seeking a Group Head of Data Strategy and Data Transformation to join our established Transformation and Improvement (T&I) function Salary : Up to £85,000 (depending on experience) Dynamic (hybrid) working : Minimum 2 days per week on site due to workload classification (including working on site each Tuesday at any MBDA location) Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team. Data is an important asset and a key added value for MBDA. When used properly, it can help us improve the efficiency of our current processes and activities, so that we can make decisions based on sound, quality information that will improve our operational efficiency. Through a robust Data Strategy and Data Transformation approach, establish and deliver an international, multi-functional programme aimed at driving maximum value from the breadth of MBDA's data. The objective of this programme is to support MBDA's strategic objectives that are managed by the Transformation and Improvement (T&I) function, which is a key part of the Technology and Performance (T&P) Directorate. Propose and deliver the Group roadmap for the Data Strategy including data governance, the management of the portfolio of data projects as well as the plan to accompany and lead the change Propose and deploy a plan, that is approved within T&I's Strategy, in line with the needs of MBDA's directorates and ensure consistency of data projects Line management of the Data Strategy and Data Transformation team To be the focal point for data governance and management within MBDA Develop the internal and external communities/networks needed for the projects and deploy and support networks and communities of good practice Contribute to deliverables of other related projects in the Group (e.g. OPERA) Consolidate business needs and ensure that they are taken into account, particularly in the implementation of technical solutions with IM & ensure consistency with other digital initiatives of the Group (AR/VR, AI, GenAI) Propose, implement, monitor and publish analysis, benchmarks and best practices and identify risks and opportunities to target these challenges Implement useful and actionable KPIs and reporting to track activities Set up and manage the associated means in terms of internal or external resources, infrastructure, budgets What we are looking for from you: Experience and deep understanding of data and the associated enablers for maintaining and delivering a robust strategy. Delivery focus and persistence to ensure successful delivery of a multi-facetted programme of work. Strong stakeholder management & ability to build relationships quickly Proven experience in leading teams, understanding the bigger picture, with ability to form a strategy, set direction & create a plan that deliver results Negotiating & influencing skills – across a multi-national, multi-disciplined company, and at various levels of the organisation. Address resources, budget, sponsors and customers.
