Position Overview: - Assistant Merchandiser

We are looking for an in-house Assistant Merchandiser to play a key role within our Merchandising Team. Purpose: As Assistant Merchandiser, you will operate at the heart of the business, communicating with suppliers, product teams, sales teams and the wider operations function to help ensure stock levels are optimised for efficient maximisation of sales, margin and profit and that pertinent and accurate information is available to drive success.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Intake management: ensuring stock is shipping on time, investigating and raising issues and proposing solutions.
2. Create, maintain and publish weekly, monthly and seasonally company reporting and documents relating to the buy, stock position, prices and sales (e.g. FTS & Clearance stock lists, bestsellers, slow movers, price lists, buy plans).
3. Ensuring accurate system information on product data, pricing, delivery windows and reports.
4. Responsible for Purchase order sizing, raising, agreeing order quantities and dates with suppliers.
5. Provide administrative support to the Merchandising department.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:
* Minimum of 1 year’s head office experience within relevant department
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Analytical and numerical skills
* MS Excel to an advanced level
* Efficient communicator
* Organisational skills.
Desirable:
* Degree or HND in the following subjects: Mathematics or Statistics, Accountancy and Finance, Retail Management, Economics, Business, Management, Merchandising, Fashion or otherwise successful track record in the industry.
* Specific relevant head office brand experience and a good understanding of the brand environment, brand adjacencies and competitors
* Proven commercial acumen
