We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 4 Personal Assistant to come and join our Research Delivery Team to support our Matrons within Research and Development.
The post is for 37.5 hours, working Monday - Friday, during core office hours, with some flexibility required. You will be based at University Hospital Southampton.
There are approx 300 Research Nurses, AHPs, Midwives and Clinical Trials Assistants, working together across the Trust, within our award winning teams to bring exciting research opportunities to UHS for the benefit of our patients and for the future of healthcare.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Diary Management
• Assist with staff rostering, monitoring annual leave and sickness
• You will be involved in varied aspects of routine administration including filing, drafting correspondence and file management.
• You will assist the Matron and Senior Research Nursing team in organising events, planning projects, and arranging travel.
• Organising meetings, agendas and minute taking
• Organising itineraries
• When required you will also assist the current team secretary/administrator to undertake day to day admin for the wider team.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation, flexibility, and drive will be required to ensure the success of this post.
• You will need to have an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills and minute taking skills.
• Good IT skills are essential including working with online databases; excel spreadsheets and preparing PowerPoint presentations.
• You will have a good understanding of the need for confidentiality.
• You will be able to work in a large open plan office, where there may be distractions and some noise.
