Charge Nurse - RMN
Salary: £41,000
Hours per week: 37.5
As a Charge Nurse (RMN), you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of mental health nurses. You will provide compassionate care to patients while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the unit. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a deep understanding of the specific challenges faced by individuals with complex mental health conditions and challenging behaviours.
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin
* Proven experience in a mental health nursing role, with a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health conditions
* Leadership or supervisory experience within a healthcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations

* Up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation and best practices

Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and guidance to a team of mental health nurses
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with best practice guidelines and regulatory standards
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
* Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
* Provide support and education to patients and their families to promote mental health and well-being
* Oversee the management of patient records and documentation
* Contribute to staff development and training initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team
* Act as an advocate for patients, promoting their rights and ensuring their voices are heard
