The role will work closely with the Soft FM Service Manager to develop and innovate the service and operational teams, implementing new technology and best practice across the Soft FM team.
The role has direct responsibility for the supervision of in-house teams delivering catering and cleaning services across various estate contracts, including NHS Property Services and owned and leased estate.
The role focuses on effective management of in-house staff and associate sub-contractors, including Window Cleaning, Laundry, and Female Hygiene, where communication and relationship management are core to performance management.
Main duties of the job
The role is part of a team providing cleaning and catering services alongside clinical services, planning and organizing day-to-day service delivery across multiple sites within LYPFT.
* Driving to multiple sites to review and carry out management and assessments.
* Monitoring service standards and supporting cost-effective estate solutions.
* Following the Departmental Safety Policy.
* Supporting staff Health and Wellbeing within the direct report team.
* Developing relationships with key operational management colleagues to ensure a safe environment for service users.
Undertaking other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may be reasonably required within the Estates Department.

Job responsibilities
The role is part of a team providing cleaning and catering services, working alongside clinical services and planning day-to-day service delivery.
Responsibilities include ensuring the performance of in-house teams, managing resources appropriately, and escalating issues to the Soft FM Service Manager.
Responsibilities also include arranging and completing Health and Safety Audits and Inspections in line with Trust procedures and monitoring service standards.
* Following the Departmental Safety Policy, particularly regarding approved Codes of Practice, Safe Systems of Work, and Risk Assessments.
* Implementing and complying with the Trust's Quality Policy and Mission Statement.
* Following the Trust's Equalities Policies regarding staff, customers, and members of the Group.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualification of ONC/OND (or equivalent) in a relevant business management or technical subject or associated working experience; Technical or professional qualification relevant to service provision (NVQ 4).
* Clean driving license.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience in staff management, managing change programs, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with Trust SFI's, and achieving performance targets.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of appropriate training relating to National Cleaning standards.
* Knowledge of the Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE).
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
* Good computer skills.
