We are seeking a qualified mechanical engineer to join our team based at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. As well as the salary, there will also be the opportunity for overtime and callouts.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen to join our well-established, dynamic, and experienced mechanical engineering management team in providing an effective and efficient maintenance package of our wide-ranging building services, including planned and reactive maintenance, alterations, and installation of engineering services, equipment, and fixtures maintained by our Estates Department.
You will manage a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment across all areas within the Trust's estate. This will require the individual to possess fully skilled, self-motivated, and proactive abilities, working safely but effectively as a valued member of the mechanical team.
You should have obtained a bachelor's or honours Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a Higher National Certification and be working toward Degree level qualification. You should also possess good demonstrable knowledge within this field and be prepared to take ownership of delegated workload.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the team, ensuring that the Trust's Visions and Values are maintained at all times, focusing on engineering excellence, integrity, and support for the wider Estates team.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 (5 x 7.5-hour days)
