Transport Supervisor - Night Shift

The successful applicant will hold a current valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Driving Licence, with an updated CPC and Digital Driver's Card.
The Transport Supervisor Role
Working in the Tewkesbury Haulage & Distribution Office, our Transport Supervisors lead, supervise and coordinate our team of HGV Drivers, Tanker Drivers, Shunters, Banksmen and Trainees. Reporting to the Fleet Logistics Manager, you will liaise with various departments across the business and our clients to ensure distribution runs smoothly & any issues are dealt with quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
You will work alongside the Office Administrator to ensure paperwork is properly filed and carry out probationary reviews, return to work documentation, and conduct interviews for new recruits. You will support Trainee HGV Drivers in their learning & development; and coordinate with Management and the HR Department to address any employee relations issues and conduct Performance Development Reviews with the team.
Key duties will include:
* Supervise all drivers to ensure deliveries are made to customers at the correct time and with the highest levels of customer service.
* Ensure all paperwork is correct and documentation in order when drivers return to the site.
* Plan, organise and utilise resources effectively, ensuring the employee rota is issued and holiday and sickness is covered.
* Provide cover for other roles within the Haulage Department when required, including Banksman and Shunter Driver.
Transport Supervisor Working Hours
Full time, 48 hours per week. Night time Hours: 1900 - 0700 across Tuesday Night to Friday Night. This is an example only – a degree of flexibility is required.
