Your new company You will be working for a global retail company in London.This role will be a part time position requiring 3 days per week. 1 or 2 of these days will be required to work in their London offices with the remaining day as WFH Your new role You will be working as a Temporary Junior HR Advisor for an initial 3 month period.The purpose of this role is to support the HR Business Partners with the delivery of a comprehensive HR service. To minimise risk to the business through the provision of clear, consistent and commercially sound advice to the field-based retail teams ensuring that all areas of compliance - brand, company and legislative are consistently adhered to for all brands/regions.Some duties will include:Employment Relations Provide a dedicated HR advisory service to the retail in line with Company Procedure, UK & Ireland employment legislation and HR Best practice Lead on the management of Probationary Procedure. Coaching and advising managers on procedure Lead on the management of Family and Flexible Working Policy. Coaching and advising managers on maternity and flexible working procedures Lead on the management of cases relating to unauthorised (AWOL), providing support and guidance to managers on procedure, producing AWOL correspondence, Lon the management of cases relating sickness absence, supporting short-term sickness cases, including supporting managers with welfare meetings Support HRBPs with long term sickness cases, liaising with Occupational Health, and supporting with formal capability meetings as required Lead on the management of cases relating to investigation and disciplinary procedures. As appropriate, lead or support the HRBPs on conduct, capability or grievance cases, Take a proactive approach to ensuring that all Policies and Procedures effectively support the commercial needs of the business and are regularly updated Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude towards more complex cases and a willingness to develop your own knowledge of case law and best practice Manage and update the ER Tracker on a weekly basis and to analyse trends to be able to advise and influence managers on making decisions Share ER analysis and HR trends with Retail Teams and wider HR team to innovate and derive outcomes Liaise with the HRBPs and Payroll team to ensure that ER cases are communicated effectively to avoid overpayments and payroll errors Recruitment With the support of the HRBPs, manage the end-to-end recruitment function of the retail field teams Assist retail teams, with recruitment processes by supporting with Recruitment Assessment Centres and interviews as required Ensure recruitment processes effectively support the commercial needs of the business Build relationships with external job providers e.g. Indeed Manage recruitment trackers and provide ongoing recruitment statistics Continuously update job descriptions where required with the support of Area Managers Work closely with Talent Acquisition team to ensure all processes are aligned with Retail Retention Oversee the BC Exit Interview process, ensuring that Area/Account Managers conduct Exit Interviews with leavers on a consistent basis Ensure exit interview data is captured and build a HR Analyst to ensure such figures are available for analysis via the HR Dashboard Learning & Development Through the day-to-day handling of ER cases, the HR Advisor will seek to coach and develop managers' HR skillset, actively encouraging them to take ownership of the decision-making process and conduct meetings in line with Company Policy, HR best practice and legislative guidelines Support the HRBPs with the delivery of HR Training throughout the year, as per the Retail HR Training Calendar Develop and deliver targeted HR training to Area and Account Managers in line with identified training needs and trends Administration Liaise with Payroll team/ HR Assistants with regards to payroll data for store-based staff Complete the Retail HR Newsletter as determined by HRBPs Support HRBPs with Annual Appraisal and Salary Review administration Assist with ad-hoc projects as directed by the HRBPs and use initiative to suggest and implement positive change independently What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a generalist HR position. You will ideally have experience with low level ER cases.This role is to start beginning of April so candidates will need to be available to start at this time.
