Salary: Band 8 (£33,945 - £36,647 FTE) £22,508 - £24,300 Actual
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 9.15am - 2.30pm (26.25 hours per week) Term time + 3 weeks

Main Responsibilities:
The Headteacher and Governing Body of St Jude's Church of England Primary School are seeking to recruit a new Finance Manager. This is a new role for the school and provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to implement new systems and ways of working within finance.
St Jude's Primary is a welcoming school with a dedicated staff team. We are located in Old Portsmouth with excellent transport links and in close proximity to Gunwharf. We are looking forward to appointing someone who can bring their financial expertise to the role and who also enjoys working in a team.
This is a key role with responsibility for the financial management of the school. Ideally, you will have previous school-based experience and be committed to providing an excellent service to all stakeholders. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate. There is the option of flexible working in agreement with the Headteacher.
The successful candidate will be someone who has:
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of financial processes in a school
* Excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality.
* The ability to communicate (verbally & in writing) with all members of the school community.
* The ability to build successful relationships with colleagues, external agencies, and visitors to the school.
* The ability to uphold the ethos of the school and its Christian ethos and values
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and under own initiative.
* The ability to work under pressure, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
* The ability to solve problems and be resourceful
