UI Designer, Digital Designer or UI/UX Designer
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented UI Designer, Digital Designer or UI/UX Designer to join our innovative tech-for-good startup, TimeTrove. We are seeking a full-time or part-time designer, who is passionate about making a positive impact, to join our diverse people first organisation.
About TimeTrove
At TimeTrove, we are dedicated to using tech innovation to address critical societal issues related to end-of-life planning, social media, mental health, data privacy, and digital legacy. Our disruptive digital platform aims to help users manage their vast amounts of digital content and preserve their meaningful memories in a safe and judgment-free environment.
Work Environment/Location
The position is currently remote, with flexibility around working hours. Depending on the candidate’s experience and commitments this could be a full or part time role. The ideal candidate will enjoy working independently and efficiently with guidance from the founder/team. We believe in staying connected with regular communication and daily meetings remotely or in swanky meeting rooms in central Manchester when needed. Therefore, living within commuting distance of Manchester would be beneficial.

Over the last few years we’ve built a skilled, committed and diverse team with a great ‘team spirit’ (cheesy but true)! TimeTrove is spearheaded by our award-winning Founder, Laura Bayliss, a successful businesswoman, passionate about design, innovation, people and positive social impact.
Role
The role requires someone with a natural design flare which can be applied to UI design, any experience in UX design and research will be a great bonus. Working alongside our technical design, development and marketing team at an exciting stage as we take our platform to market this year. Designing new features and exploring creative ways to keep users engaged and interacting with the platform long term. The primary focus will be on UI/UX design and research, but will include other elements of design such as Keynote presentations and animation. As the team grows there will be more opportunity for the role to focus on one area of preference or expertise, depending on the candidate’s experience and interests.
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in a relevant course such as: UI, UX, Digital Design, Graphic Design.
A strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and a keen eye for detail.
Passion and natural flare for digital design, UI, UX or graphic design, with knowledge and understanding of key visual design principles.
A desire to further design skills and put existing skills into practice working on a modern, stylish digital product and brand.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and step up when needed as part of a committed team.
Excellent time management skills: ability to work efficiently independently, with regular support.
Experience with design software packages such as Adobe Xd and Adobe Illustrator is preferred but not essential.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £24,000 to £58,500 annually (pro-rata), depending on experience and hours worked (15-37.5 hours/week).
Start date: 14th-31st March, or later to suit notice periods.
