Deputy Manager required for a Dementia Care Home in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join a dedicated team at a local Good rated care home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated care leader to support the Registered Manager in providing outstanding care for residents while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

Salary:
* c 36,000pa DOE

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the home's operations, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations.
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred dementia care.
* Monitor and manage care plans to ensure residents' individual needs and preferences are met.
* Foster strong relationships with residents' families and external professionals.
* Support recruitment, training, and development of staff to build a skilled and compassionate team.
* Promote the home within the local community to maintain and grow occupancy levels.
* Deputise for and step into the Registered Manager's role when required.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a dementia or elderly care setting.
* A relevant qualification such as Level 3 or 5 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
* A compassionate approach to delivering dementia care, with a strong understanding of person-centred practices.
* Knowledge of CQC regulations and experience in achieving compliance standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and supportive leadership style to inspire and motivate your team.
